Long Term strategies for Young Entrepreneurs
Goals of the Program
The EMP’s main goal is to have a manager leave the program with the understanding, knowledge and skill that will aid them in achieving a higher level of success in the upcoming season while also providing them with some big picture viewpoints and longer term strategies for their personal goals.
EMP IS A:
Self-Analysis: Whereby managers look at the reasons for their success and failures. The goal is to understand what they need to repeat and what they need to improve upon.
Enhancement of Knowledge: The EMP will provide a higher level of product, service and organizational knowledge. Providing them with the tools for growth within their business
Sharing of Knowledge and Experience: The bringing together of groups of managers to share their experiences and knowledge is one of the key elements in the EMP’s success.
High Level Instruction: Providing knowledge from senior management within the UFCP, Dulux and General Paints/Sherwin Williams. Experts from RBC, Investment Brokerages, mortgage specialists and other specialists are also an integral part of the EMP strategy.
Big Picture Vision: Providing managers with the understanding that the opportunity they have today within their business can provide them with a lifetime of benefits well beyond your initial goals.
Plan Creation: The creation of a business plan that acts as a blueprint for the achievement of higher level goals.
Follow-up from the EMP: Creating an open line of communication for managers with senior levels of management. Providing performance appraisals, feedback and general guidance beyond the EMP weekend is a key component of program.
